    Whether looking at the highest rating or the number of hotels in the Top 5, these three regions are all performing exceptionally well.

    In terms of the number of resorts and traditional hotels with an average rating of 8.6 or higher, Hammamet narrowly edges out Tunis and Sousse. But for the highest rating, Sousse-Port El Kantaoui, with only six hotels in the Top 5, outperforms the other two: two hotels rated 9.3 compared to just one in Hammamet, and none in Tunis… which, however, boasts the best hotel de charme, Dar El Jeld, rated 9.5.

    • See below the ranking of hotels by region.

    Across all regions, the leaders firmly hold their positions (Belvédère Fourati, Adam Hotel Suites, TUI Blue Manar, La Badira, Marhaba Palace, both The Residence properties, and several Iberostar hotels).

    However, we note the entry of new properties such as the Verdi and the Golden Carthage in Gammarth, the Oceana in Hammamet, and the Melia El Mansour in Mahdia. The latter could be overtaken by another newcomer, the Monarque El Fatimi, which has a higher rating (8.3) but only 66 reviews, so it is not yet ranked.

    We also note excellent ratings among an increasing number of small-capacity hotels (fewer than 50 rooms, 2- or 3-star hotels); we now present them separately in the rankings: Hôtel Karim Tunis, Hôtel Suisse, Hôtel Khella, Hôtel Résidence Monia, Dar Al Madina Mahdia, to which the Hôtel Donia will soon be added, rated 8.7 and which narrowly missed making the Top 5 in Sfax with 99 reviews.

    • This table lists the 5 top-ranked hotels (or more in the case of a tie) in each region according to Booking.com ratings of hotels as of June 5, 2026.
    • Where ratings are equal, the number of reviews takes precedence.
    • Only hotels with more than 100 reviews and a rating of 8/10 or higher have been included in this ranking.

    * Small-capacity hotels: 2- or 3-star hotels with fewer than 50 rooms.
