Customer satisfaction: club hotels move up the rankings

As the Easter vacations draw to a close, the top hotel rankings change somewhat. Two club hotels move up the rankings as the high season approaches.

The month of May 2025 brings its own set of confirmations for leading hotels such as The Residence Douz (9.3) and the Iberostar Selection Kantaoui Bay in El Kantaoui (9.2), while other hotels, notably the AQI Venus Beach (with a satisfaction score of 9.3) and the Seabel Rym Beach (8.8), move up to 1st place in their respective regions (Hammamet and Djerba).

Charming hotels: a separate ranking

In the “Hôtel de Charme” category, Dar El Jeld continues to score highly (9.5), as do La Menara (9.4) and La Villa Bleue (8.5). These small hotels (often with around fifteen rooms) are automatically classified as 5-star hotels, a double classification whose significance is not always clear. From now on, we’ll present them separately in the rankings.

Our decision to differentiate between “Hôtels de charme” and classic hotels and resorts is intended to clarify the situation: in a 15-room establishment, the offer, operation and resources required are closer to those of a gîte or guest house, some of which boast satisfaction rates equivalent to or higher than those of classic hotels and resorts.

Regions: top marks for Hammamet and Tunis

By region, the Adam Hotel Suites and the Belvédère Fourati lead the way in Tunis, while in Gammarth, The Residence Tunis confirms its leadership. In both Hammamet and Tunis, a number of hotels outside the top 5 nonetheless scored highly in terms of satisfaction, such as the Hasdrubal Thalassa (8.5), Oceana (8.4) and Medina Belisaire & Thalasso (8.4) in Yasmine Hammamet, and the Corail Suites Hotel and Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Center in Tunis, which scored 8.5.

On the other hand, some hotels such as the Radisson Sfax (7.9) and the Royal Thalassa in Monastir (7.9) fell back.

Finally, we’re particularly pleased with the rating of the Djerba Erriadh hotel in Houmt-Souk which, with its one and only star, obtains a score of 8.1 for a not inconsiderable 231 reviews.

The same goes for the Royal Tulip Korbous Bay hotel, which turned in a fine performance with a score of 8.6.
