    With a view to co-hosting the 2030 Football World Cup, Morocco is pulling out all the stops in terms of infrastructure and tourism renewal. It is injecting 6 billion dirhams (€570 million) to support the ambitious objectives of its 2023-2026 roadmap for the tourism sector. Morocco aims for €11 billion in revenues and the creation of 200,000 jobs by 2026.

    This same roadmap is cited by the OECD in its document “OECD Tourism Trends and Policies 2024”.

    We are publishing the section devoted to Morocco in the abridged version of this document. It details tourism’s place in the economy, its system of governance and even the flows of different types of visitors.
