Spain will welcome 13 million French tourists this year. However, “sales by tour operators account for only 8% of total French visitors,” according to the Director of Turespana (the Spanish tourism office) in Paris*.

Thus, Spain—which is the top destination for members of SETO (the French tour operators’ association) and the premier destination for industrial tourism—is now 92% outside the scope of French tour operators.

As for Tunisia, we do not have a similar statement from the ONTT. But if we accept the number of customers reported by SETO for Tunisia for 2025—178,421—and assume that this number represents all tour operator sales, this proportion would stand at 16.2% in 2025. It would be 80% for all-inclusive package sales.

(*) L’Echo Touristique, « En Espagne, le tourisme français roule de plus en plus en direct » (In Spain, French tourism is increasingly booking directly.) F. De Paola, 16/09/2026.
