    Hotel chain projects in Africa 2025: growth continues

    A true barometer of the commitment of hotel chains in Africa, the “Hotel Chain Development Pipelines in Africa” has just delivered its 17th edition for the year 2025. It reveals a 13.3% increase in projects to 577 hotels and 104,444 rooms, including 49,260 in North African countries.

    Tunisia ranks 7th with 17 hotels and 4,344 rooms, while Egypt continues to top the list with 143 hotels and 33,926 rooms.

    Of the total 577 hotel projects, resorts account for 170 and 35,615 rooms. Djerba remains in the top 10 for resorts, with 1,393 rooms planned, ranking 7th.
