The 159 passengers on the Transavia flight from Nantes to Monastir on December 31 will long remember the “New Year’s gift” offered by the Air France group company. The airline had to cancel the flight due to the illness of “several crew members” who could not be replaced. Transavia was only able to offer a replacement flight for January 3, 5 or 7, and also had to cancel the return flight.
When it came to taking care of the 25 passengers who still wanted to leave, the airline ticked all the boxes of bad management: transfer from the hotel to the airport paid for by the customers, and so on.
