While Dar Saïd tops the rankings in the Carthage Coast region, the two southern resorts—The Mora Sahara (Tozeur) and The Residence Douz—are struggling to keep pace. Elsewhere, the Melia El Mansour has had a modest start, and several El Mouradi properties have seen their ratings plummet.

In Tunis, Adam Hotel Suites has regained its listing on booking.com and the top spot in its region. On the Carthage Coast, Dar Saïd (Sidi Bou Saïd, 9.1 out of 484 reviews) dethrones The Residence and takes the lead among hotels, while the Karim hotel enters the Top 5 with a rating of 8.9.

    • See below the ranking of hotels by region.

The Hasdrubal Hammamet (8.8), which has been steadily improving its rating in recent months, has climbed to fourth place in its region. Also worth noting in Hammamet is the strong debut of the Royal Nozha with a rating of 8.9 (though with only 82 reviews, it is not yet included in our ranking).

In Mahdia, while the Iberostar Royal Mansour has improved its rating, the Melia El Mansour has made a modest debut with a rating of just 7.7 based on 99 reviews.

The Mora Sahara in Tozeur has a rating of 9 based on 460 reviews (down from 9.2 a month ago), while The Residence Douz, at 9.3 (down from 9.4 previously), appears to be experiencing a temporary slump following the change in its general manager.

    El Mouradi lags behind

El Mouradi Club El Kantaoui (4 stars) is at 4.4; El Mouradi Port El Kantaoui at 5.3; and Club Selima at 5.6. In Mahdia, it’s 5.5. Long accustomed to average ratings but often above 7, the chain seems to be struggling to maintain its standing. Will it be able to respond in time?

    • This table lists the 5 top-ranked hotels (or more in the case of a tie) in each region according to Booking.com ratings of hotels as of May 5, 2026.
    • Where ratings are equal, the number of reviews takes precedence.
    • Only hotels with more than 100 reviews and a rating of 8/10 or higher have been included in this ranking.

    * Hotels not listed: A hotel’s absence from booking.com may be due to non-payment to the platform or a voluntary removal by the hotel itself.
