The organization of the 1st International Salon of Saharan and Oasian Tourism (ISSOT on December 3, 4 and 5 in Tozeur) was a “top” initiative that could rally efforts to kick-start the revival of southern Tunisia.

The development of Saharan tourism is not only a necessity for the region’s economy, but also an opportunity to improve performance in fields such as incentives. The opening of units such as the Anantara Tozeur or The Residence Douz is a new asset.

What remains to be done is to ensure the financial sustainability of this trade show, whose 1st edition was supported by the Tounes Wejhatouna (EU/GIZ) and Visit Tunisia (USAid) programs.
