Winter has not been kind to the Marhaba Palace in Sousse, which has ceded its leadership position to Iberostar. Meanwhile, in Hammamet, the contenders for the Top 5 are still jostling for position.

While the ratings for hotels in Tunis and Gammarth-La Marsa remain unchanged, in Sousse-Port El Kantaoui, the Marhaba Palace, which was the leader in the previous ranking, has dropped to third place. The Marhaba Beach follows in fourth place (down from second previously). The Marhaba Club, meanwhile, has been excluded from the Top 5 despite a stable rating of 8.5.

In Hammamet, the Hasdrubal returns to the Top 5 with a rating of 8.7, behind the Medina Solaria, which maintains its rating of 8.8.

Overall, the level of satisfaction among the leaders remains high, particularly in Sousse and Hammamet, where the minimum rating for the Top 5 is 8.7, compared to 8.3 for Djerba, for example.

As a result, in Sousse and Hammamet, hotels rated ‘Excellent’ according to Booking.com’s criteria are excluded from the Top 5 despite a score of 8.6. This is the case for the Sentido Bellevue Park in Sousse and The Sindbad hotel in Hammamet.

Status quo in the south, good scores for city hotels

In the south, The Residence Douz retains its top spot among resorts in Tunisia with a score of 9.4. It is followed by The Mora Tozeur (9.2).

City hotels maintain a high level of satisfaction, particularly in Tunis. In Sfax, the number of hotels and the level of satisfaction are lower, but a few newcomers seem well on their way to reaching the Top 5, such as the Donia Hotel, which has a rating of 8.9 but has not yet reached the threshold of 100 reviews required to be ranked (it has 76).

    • Where ratings are equal, the number of reviews takes precedence.
    • Only hotels with more than 100 reviews and a rating of 8/10 or higher have been included in this ranking.
